This gorgeous 2YO gelding named Whistlejacket has already had his first couple of preps at Ballymore racing stables where he displayed a couple of very impressive jumpouts. He is a strong, flashy, compact boy who we expect will get going early. We have big aspirations for him to be a elite contender over the summer months. His pedigree suggests that he will be a sprinter with the likes of stallions HITOTSU and LEAN MEAN MACHINE being prominent figures related to Whistlejacket. 

Name origin: Whistlejacket is an oil on canvas painting from 1762 painted by the famous British equine artist George Stubbs, it shows the Marquess of Rockingham's racehorse in life size form, rearing up. Whistlejacket was a chestnut stallion with a star on his head and a rear white sock. The painting has been described as "a paradigm of the flawless beauty of an Arabian thoroughbred". This famous piece of artwork is located at the National Gallery in London where it attracts a great deal of attention due to the simplicity and beauty of the painting. Whistlejacket was beaten only 4 times throughout his lengthy racing career retiring to stud at the age of 10.
